GST Rate Change Effective January 1, 2008

The GST reduction to 5% effective January 1, 2008 is supported in the Fenix Customs Entry System.

 

The necessary program updates and data files have been distributed in each client's CADEX/ACROSS mailbox (which will automatically transfer the updates to your system), so there is no need to perform a separate download. All that is required is that the installation procedures (in the document listed below) are performed PRIOR to entering data for any 2008 shipments.

 

By following the instructions carefully, you will accomplish the following:

 

· Installation of the necessary program updates

· The ability to use both sets of rates/classifications (the software will intelligently and automatically determine which GST Rate (5% or 6%) to use based upon the date of the entry)
