Customs Tariff for Year 2008:

The 2008 Customs Tariff is now available for use with the Fenix Customs Entry System.

The necessary program updates and data files have been distributed in each client's CADEX/ACROSS mailbox (which will automatically transfer the updates to your system), so there is no need to perform a separate download. All that is required is that the installation procedures (in the document listed below) are performed PRIOR to entering data for any 2008 shipments.

 

NOTE: installation can occur at any time - you do NOT need to wait until you have cleared all your 2007 entries to perform installation.

 

By following the instructions carefully, you will accomplish the following:

· installation of the 2008 Classification and Tariff Code information as provided by CBSA

· preservation of your existing 2007 Classification and Tariff Code information as it exists on your system at present.

· the ability to use both sets of rates/classifications (the software will intelligently and automatically determine which tariff (2008 or 2007) to use based upon the entry data)
